Daily Express Special Colour Pullout | Newcastle United Fairs Cup Quarter Final Vitória Setúbal

Original newspaper from 1969 in great condition.

The Daily Express produced colour pullouts for Newcastle's venture into Europe in the Fairs Cup.

This edition was produced in March 1969 for the Quarter Final 1st leg match versus Vitória Setúbal at St. James' Park.

The headline of "Newcastle need a hatful of goals to take to Lisbon" proved apt as Newcastle ran our 5-1 winners then lost the 2nd leg 3-1.

This pullout features many colour photos including some great shots of the players at home.

Inside the pullout an article featuring yesterday's heroes - Jimmy Scoular, Bob Stokoe, Jim Iley and Stan Anderson giving their thoughts on the Fair's Cup run and some great advertisements in honour of Newcastle in Europe.

Our original newspapers make unique gifts for birthdays, anniversaries or other special events.
