A high quality 100% cotton tea towel containing the lyrics to the Blaydon Races. This famous Geordie folk song was written by Geordie Ridley in the 19th century and is regarded by many as the unofficial anthem of Tyneside.
Tyne and Wear Museums have produced this tea towel to accompany the poster (available to buy here) and prints of the painting entitled 'The Blaydon Races - A Study from Life', by the artist William Irving which hangs in the Shipley Art Gallery.
